Blessings to you! This
little section of the site is a chance for me to introduce myself to you, and to share with you the gifts our Lord has blessed
me with in my ministry. God has shown me that my passion truly lies in ministry to the youth of the Church! He has transformed
my heart, and I have fallen in love with my ministry to young people – I feel so blessed that God has given me such
an exciting mission! Our great Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI has said time and time again, “God is love!” It is
now my great joy and blessing to spread God’s message of radical, life-changing love, and to call teens on to live the
life that our Lord wants for us.
My involvement in the Church
first began when I was in middle school. After my father introduced drums to my home parish in Bethlehem, PA, I entered the music ministry as a drummer for our children’s choir. Within a few
short years, I had stepped up to become our parish’s primary drummer, serving in music ministry with all of our choirs,
both youth and adult. I found a powerful, prayerful connection with the Lord in my music, and learned not to simply play
my isntruments, but to pray them! As such, my background in music is a very liturgical one – I truly feel
at home worshipping with my drums in the holy mass. I also find great joy in using my musical gifts to help lead young people
in praise and worship as well as during Adoration, where music can be a powerful agent to help youth move deeper into their
worship.
When I came to DeSales University,
I continued to serve with my music at weekly “Prayer and Praise” nights, and was later blessed to join the ministry
of CatholicFX. It was with CFX, in these last few years, that I have truly begun to understand the amazing love and passion
for youth ministry that God has placed in my heart. I have spoken to groups of young people at a variety of events, from small-group
gatherings to larger retreats of several hundred youth. Above all, the central focus of my speaking ministry is the life of
holiness God calls us to, and the way we can live that life through the Holy Spirit. Jesus challenged us, “Be perfect,
therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Mt 5:48) – He called us to live a life of radical love, to be
a light to the nations to bring people to God. That’s no small task! But God never asks us to do the impossible, and
He has left us his Holy Spirit to help us live as He calls us. With His help, we can learn to live the kind of powerful, loving
life that will bring us closer to God and help to bring other peole to Hi, as well. It brings me so much joy to spread this
beautiful, inspiring message to young people!
